Regular prescription

How long do I wear my regular prescription for? And my under corrective?

It’s best to get an eye chart and test your eyes under different conditions. As a general rule, you want to wear your full correction “regular prescription” for driving or any dangerous activity.

You shouldn’t be wearing more correction than you need most of the time, so typically you’d wear 0.25 diopters less than your full correction when outside “normalized”, and about 1.25 diopters less correction for working on screens or sitting at a desk “differentials”.

Usually it takes 3 or 4 months before you can move on to less correction.
