This is true for the vision, too, in a sense.
If your glasses overcorrect the details of the image, it is more difficult to take in the full picture.
I noticed it first when Photoshop first became popular. Everyone was over-sharpening each and every pixel just to find that when zooming out again, the overall picture would be somewhat “off” normal, more difficult to take in and make sense of…
